Weekly Prayer Requests
Dear saints of the most high God. As you pray this week, consider using scripture in your prayer time. Pastor Chris challenged the congregation to memorize Eph 4:32. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” One way to demonstrate kindness and compassion is through prayer. Have you prayed for your family this week?
The saints living in persecuting countries are blessed by the power being released through our prayers for them. Ask God to comfort and strengthen the saints living in Algeria, China and Kazakhstan. Praise God that Algerian believers have been acquitted of blasphemy. International criticism of the Algerian government’s treatment of Christians has helped in the acquittals. Ask God to protect our Algerian brothers and sisters as they live their lives for Christ no matter the cost. Alimujiang Yimiti is a Chinese house church leader who has been detained for nearly a year and the Chinese government refuses to set a court date. He’s being charged as a spy and could get the death penalty. Pray for Yimiti that as he waits on the Lord, his strength will be renewed like soaring on wings like eagles. Kazak pastor Andrei Blok has been sentenced to 150 hours of compulsory community service following his refusal to pay a fine for leading an “unregistered congregation.” As he serves this sentence, pray that God will give Pastor Blok opportunities to share Christ with those he is serving.

Pray for the upcoming Perspectives Course that will be hosted by CBC. Pray also for the formation of a similar course in El Paso.
Pray for Micah E as he recovers from a severe injury to his wrist.
Pray for Linda B as she prepares for surgery next week. Pray that she will recover quickly.
Pray for Sarah as she undergoes treatment for lymphoma.
Pray for eight year old Lance as he recovers from a surgical procedure as part of his treatment for bone cancer.
Please continue praying for TC as her fight with the debilitating skin disease scleroderma is weakening. Pray that God’s amazing mercy be with her.
