Mark is a licensed clinical counselor with the State of New Mexico since 2001. He graduated from New Mexico State University in 1995 with a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Guidance. He has also completed a diploma in Christian Ministries from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

He has experience working with couples in transition, couples in conflict, preparing couples for marriage, and substance abuse & addictions.

Mark and his wife Margarita have been married since 1989 and have two boys.
